At the outset of every project we develop a plan in accordance with these KPI’s that clearly defines all tasks, responsibilities, and target completion times.

We use cloud based construction intelligence platform Acuite to monitor and report the KPI’s throughout the project in real time. This supports quick issue identification and problem solving on each Johnstone Construction site as it happens. We can share this information with our clients, consultants and team so that everyone has a view on the key performance areas of the project.

MANAGEMENT OF SUB-CONTRACTORS

At Johnstone Construction we believe in working with skilled and established sub-contractors.

All contractors are managed by our management team and we take proactive measures to communicate with all our direct contractors’ sub-contractors on site to ensure they comply with all relevant rules and regulations.

We hold preferred contracting agreements with a tight team of contractors who are capable of completing jobs on time and in budget without compromising quality.

SUB-CONSULTANT MANAGEMENT

Sub consultants are partners in the delivery process and we recognise the individual value they provide to each project.

At the same time, we clearly communicate the build intent and project objectives through internal coordination, the Acuite dashboard and scheduled site meetings. Here we cover issues such as:

Our extensive work in the fuel industry means we have specialist experience in the demolition and remediation of contaminated sites.

Our experience with the rigorous demands of construction in the fuel industry provides us with the ability to take on complex and difficult projects.

The control of works are more stringent in the fuel industry than general construction sectors due to the hazardous nature of the sites. It is common to be conducting works on site in close proximity to volatile fuels, at height, and in confined spaces.

Being retail sites every second counts while services are shut down or impacted by construction so thorough planning and careful execution is required on all projects.

These challenges add complexity to already demanding civil engineering and construction programmes. Our systems and build efficiency reflect these demands and are reproduced in other non fuel station builds.

We are experienced at undertaking works and upgrades on live retail sites. We plan and deliver works that ensure continuity of business and minimal disruption to the public.

We prioritise maintaining a safe, tidy and clean site at all times and carefully control access to works areas. We coordinate with the site staff to minimise disruptions.
