NEIGHBOURHOOD
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

This project required ongoing ‘coalface’ relationship management of neighbouring sites, a rest home and a primary school, the latter of which had spent many years opposing the project.

Johnstone Construction worked hard to build a positive relationship with the neighbours and ensure that the works did not cause unnecessary disruptions - safe access around the site was maintained for children and the elderly, traffic management plans were reviewed and adjusted daily and neighbours were kept closely informed of the building programme and all risk management activities.

Despite the challenges of managing opposing stakeholders Johnstone Construction delivered the project on programme and on budget and without any incidents or interference to the operation of neighbouring sites – meaning all the kids got to and from school safe and happy.
