Our very own Susy Pryde is up for a NAWIC award

We are very proud to announce that our Operations Manager Susy Pryde is up for a National Association of Women in Construction award in the Excellence in Administration category.

Susy is a key member of the Johnstone Construction team, working alongside Managing Director Hugh Johnstone to grow and manage the business. Susy has contributed her legal knowledge, management expertise and vast experience in performance management to the development and implementation of our administrative and management systems.

Johnstone Construction has undergone a period of rapid growth in the last 2 years which has coincided with major changes in both legislative and clients’ HSE regulations. Susy has been integral to our ability to meet the challenges this has thrown up and without her support, the company would not have been in a position to expand and undertake increasingly complex works.

As a qualified member of the Bar, Susy’s knowledge of the Employment Relations Act ensures Johnstone Construction are good employers and that the team is aware of their rights and obligations. It has also enabled us to recruit and onboard the right staff to the company in a professional and efficient manner.

Senior Project Manager at BP New Zealand, Daniel Bradley, believes Susy provides an important bridge between Johnstone Construction and the client;

Susy is the piece of the puzzle that Johnstone Construction were missing, since joining the team Susy has helped Johnstone Construction to become a more client facing company by bridging the gap between getting the job done on site and providing myself as the client the assurances and information I need. Keep up the good work Susy!

We couldn't agree more - Susy's management of key relationships and their requirements have provided Johnstone Construction with important credibility in the high-risk fuel industry and led to closer working relationships with our key clients.

We are proud that Susy is a contender for this nationwide award and wish her the best of luck!
