Hugh Johnstone, Managing Director of Johnstone Construction, took on the ultimate endurance challenge at the recent Riverhead Backyard Ultra.
A Backyard Ultra entails running laps of a predetermined course, each approximately 6.706 kilometers long. The catch? Runners must complete each loop within an hour. As the clock resets every hour, only those who finish the lap on time continue to the next round.
Hugh embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, completing an impressive 17 laps, totaling a staggering 114.07 kilometers.
